Shirt Pocket is committed to creating affordable, fully supported, well-designed programs for the Macintosh—carefully crafted to bring a smile to your face when you use them.
Shirt Pocket was founded by me—David Nanian—in late 2000, to create exciting, useful, well-engineered and well-supported software, bringing along 20 years of entrepreneurial and commercial development experience.
Before Shirt Pocket, I co-founded UnderWare in 1983 (yes, I have a fondness for clothing-based company names—and a rather sophomoric sense of humor) and co-developed BRIEF, a programmer's editor that dominated its segment with over 65% of the market when we sold it in 1990. Its logical, intuitive commands are emulated by other editors—from GNU Emacs to Visual Studio—to this day.
After BRIEF came Track Record, an object-oriented bug tracking system that helped thousands of teams stay on track. I later managed development at Compuware's NuMega lab before setting off on my own again to build great products in a small-company environment—and Shirt Pocket is the result.
Introduced 2004. The backup that makes fully bootable copies — and the first to offer "Sandbox" system checkpoints. Two Eddy Awards in 2005 and 2006.
