Auto-mounting a destination
In the "perfect backups" blog post (https://www.shirt-pocket.com/blog/in...rfect_backups/), you say:
"My daily backup is left unmounted but connected. SuperDuper! launches every day, mounts the drive, makes its copy, and then unmounts the backup." How can I get a volume automatically mounted? I've tried inserting a shell script that calls diskutil to mount both partitions of my destination group (on Catalina,) but SD simply ignores it because the destination volume wasn't there to begin with. In older times I could have crudely modified the "Backup by Time" AppleScript, but that's no longer an option. Last edited by glessard; 01-28-2020 at 02:09 PM. |
