REALLY SLOW: Imaging from Firewire/USB External onto Unibody Macbook Pro
Has anyone else experienced this?
I hook up the external drive to the Unibody MBP via a firewire 6pin to 9pin or usb. I boot up the Unibody MBP using Partition A on the external. When booted up, I am trying to image Partition B on the external to the MBP internal HD. It takes about 4 hours to transfer 20GB I have done this a million times before with a pre-unibody MBP with a 20-30 min imaging time. Ideas? |

I don't know, then: I've certainly tested on the Unibodies and they seem as fast as you'd expect... but I can't see 20GB taking 20 minutes. I'd expect 8-12MB/s or so.
