Clone Thecus Raid 5 Array

Will SuperDuper enable me to successfully clone a RAID 5 Arrary?

I need to create an exact copy of a RAID 5 array before carrying out some essential maintenance which could potentially corrupt the array - hence the backup.

I will be using a USB Dual SATA Dock to bring the old and new drive online on my Apple iMac.

The Original drives are;

• Input drives: Samsung F1 Spinpoint drives
• Output drives: Seagate Barracuda

Will this hardware configuration work successfully?

Is this a RAID NAS, or a directly attached RAID in HFS+? We can't copy directly to or from a network drive...

Hi Dave,

I will be extracting each drive individually and using a USB "Dual SATA Dock" to bring the old and new drive online on my iMac where they show up as two external disk drives.

Seems unlikely those drives'll be HFS+ format, though, Alan. We only copy HFS+ volumes.
