Clone my storage drive, and add my mail folder?
I make two regular backups...one for my startup disk, and one for my storage drive that has all my photos, movies, music, etc. I make a second backup of the storage drive onto another external drive that I keep at a friend's place, just in case. I don't do this with the startup disk, though I probably will some day.
In the mean time, is there a script to tell SD to clone my storage drive AND copy my mail folder from the startup disk? Or better yet, anyone know how to tell Mail to keep my mail on the external drive to begin with? I've done it with iTunes and Lightroom, but I don't see an option in Mail to store somewhere other than the user folder. Thanks! mcdj |

No, we can't do that... I'd just create another partition on the drive and copy mail to that.

LOL...dang. I just spent 2 hours watching SD clone my backup drive. Since I'm not on Leopard, the only way to add a partition is to format the drive and start again.
Actually I just remembered there are apps that let you partition on the fly...does SD mind if I do that? |

Nope. iPartition works just fine.
