LEOPARD: Safe HD cloning method.
Hi all,
Just want to post on a way you can clone your HD safely in Leopard so that people who have upgraded can take a clone in a way that's guaranteed to work and be safe. Open up DISK UTILITY (in the /Applications/Utilities folder) that comes free with Leopard MacOS X as a standard utility. Click on your HD and go to the RESTORE tab in the right window pane. There you'll see a straightforward interface to select your SOURCE and DESTINATION (external USB or Firewire) drives. Click the go button and you'll have a bootable clone of your drive as a backup. Cheers. |
