SuperDuper Crashes my powerbook

I back-up to a disk image onm an external drive. it has worked well in the past, but for some reason, when I try to run SuperDuper, it crashes my machine.

When I approve the back-up, tyhe screen grays out with the powerbuton symbol in thr background and it tells me I need to hold the powerbutton down to restart.

Why?

Well, the simple answer is that there's something wrong with your machine's hardware or low-level software environment -- SuperDuper! has no kernel level components, so it can't be the cause of a kernel panic... though, because it exercises your machine a lot, it can trigger other parts to fail.

If you'll send a System Profiler report to support, I'll take a look and see what I can figure out. To do so, run System Profiler, choose File | Save and save to the default (XML) format. Then, attach to some email (don't post here in the forums).

Thanks.

It's unlikely these are related cases, Steve. Let's continue to work your case in email, and you can post the result up here when we're done.
