SD never passes Preparing Snapshot

I posted earlier this month that after upgrading to Catalina and to SD3.3.1, my SD would hang on launch. Deleting prefs solved this problem, but since then SD has not completed a single backup successfully.

Currently, SD has been stuck on "Preparing <HD Name> snapshot" since Monday of this week. SD is responsive, not crashed — if I click Stop it gives me the confirmation dialog.

Before I click Stop and confirm, I thought I'd post here to see if there were useful troubleshooting steps I should engage in. Here's the current log for this four-day run:

Code:

The destination drive is a 1TB APFS formatted drive. These are the same drives I was using successfully with SD prior to the upgrades.

I'd be happy to complete any diagnostic steps you recommend. Thanks!

I would just stop it, restart your Mac (and power cycle your drives) and try again. Something is clearly not returning (likely the APFS snapshot functions), and so that's likely the right approach.
