Feature request: Easier-to-access logs
So I set up my new machine with SuperDuper! last night. I attached an external hard drive with two partitions: Brown Manual, and Brown Auto. I set up a schedule so SuperDuper! will smart update Brown Auto every night at 2:05am, then did a (manual) smart update to Brown Manual. (I chose 2:05am because I wanted to be sure the manual update would complete before the auto update started.)
THis morning I went to SuperDuper! and looked at the log. It gave me full details of the auto, which completed successfully. But I have *no* idea how the manual update went. 1) How do I find the log for the manual run? 2) Could we perhaps make it easier to find/check the logs? Maybe a new Logs window, very similar to the Scheduled Copies window, but with one more column for status? Source Dest Finish Status ====== ====== ====== ====== Mac HD Auto 3:54am OK Mac HD Manual 1:06am INTERRUPTED And maybe clicking an entry would take you to the full log for that particular run? If the above is too ambitious, how about just letting me specify a path to which logs could be appended, so I could at least search through them with grep and emacs? THanks for listening, and thanks a ton for SuperDuper! -- Raja Thiagarajan raja@thiagi.com |
For the manual one, open the main window and choose "Window > Show Log".
Thanks for the other suggestion. |
