SuperDuper! 2.7.2 and OS X 10.6.8
This is to report that I've used the latest release of SuperDuper (2.7.2) to backup one of my OS X 10.6.8 partition: now, this copy looks like it is actually bootable [either from the option-key-pressed-restart or from the restart pref panel vantage point], yet when selected for restart, it makes the machine indefinitely emit 3 long beeps as it attempts to boot...
This is especially embarrassing since your home page reads "2.7.2 is still compatible with Snow Leopard (10.6)"... |
Well, I just backed up a 10.6.8 system with 2.7.2 and it works fine. So that seems strange to me...especially since long beeps are from the BIOS/EFI, which isn't on the drive. Very strange.
If you update that backup with 2.7.1 (which you can readily download from the SuperDuper page), does it do the same thing? |
no, of course: backing up with 2.7.1 works as it always did, i.e. fine!
|
I cannot reproduce this and haven't had any other reports...this is totally reproducible on your system?
