Well, I’m here in San Francisco awaiting the start of WWDC 2006, and hoping it’s a bit more eventful than WWDC 2005 (which was a replay of WWDC 2004)… and I’m sure it will be.
Communication is going to be a bit slower during the next week or so, so if you don’t get a response to your emails, forum posts, etc for a few hours you know why.
And if you’re here in town at the conference, get in touch!
(As far as predictions go, I’ll let everyone else speculate about what’s going to happen… we’ll all know for real soon enough!)

Hey Dave,
I’m a big fan (and registered user) of SuperDuper! and just got into San Fran myself for WWDC. Hoping that it’ll turn out to be a good week. If you’re up for a beer or something, it’d be great to meet you.

Hey, Scott—will be at Buzz’s party and the ADC thingy.
And, Justin—hey, it’s before 8am on Sunday. Relax!

Well, what do you think about Timemachine - bye bye business? :/ (SuperDuper does a great job with my back ups, altough the smart update option never works...)

I think Time Machine is likely to provide a very nice solution for temporal backups, and a less-than-optimal solution for failover/catastrophic situations. So, the solutions are complimentary, since we’ve never attempted to address the “infinite rollback” case. (It also doesn’t have anything remotely similar to the Sandbox.)
Without going into details either about our product or things that might be covered by our NDA, our job is to ensure the two tools work well together doing their respective tasks, and by the time Leopard comes out, they will.
As far as Smart Update never working, drop me a note to support with some details, and I’ll be happy to help.

I use Smart Update every day; works great. Love your software, Dave.

Just wanted to pop a note to say as a registered user of SuperDuper, Smart Update is ultra neat and has always worked, and SuperDuper will be on my Leopard box come Springtime as another tool in the old belt
Keep up the good work!

Perhaps Thomas is using the free version of SD? Anyway Smart Update is the main reason to pay for SD and it has always worked for me.
