Fully bootable NAS backup

Dave,

At the present is there any way to make a fully bootable backup on a NAS?

If so, which one(s) can I buy?

Can multiple Macs use it (kinda the whole point for me)

If not, will this ever be possible in the forseeable future?

Hey guys. Recently when launching SuperDuper! on my wife's MacBook Air (10.8.3, 128 GB SSD), I'm seeing an odd delay where the main window fails to come forward and "beach balls" for a few seconds. Checking the Console shows the following message:

"coreservicessd:
Application App:"SuperDuper!" [0x0/0x31031] @ 0x0x7ffa0a639280 tried to be brought forward, but isn't in the fPermittedFrontASNs ( ( ASN:0x0-0x43043: ) ), so denying."

After about 20~30 seconds the window does come forward and allows me to update my clone but this behaviour is relatively recent and a bit disconcerting. Any ideas on what might be causing it?

Thanks!

PS: I'm cloning to a sparse disk image on an external USB. Disk Utility isn't showing any issues with the image when mounted. I run the same setup on my Air and don't see the issue there.

Will Superduper copy a TM backup that's located on a Drobo?

I need to reformat my Drobo (currently a single volume) and would like to backup and later restore the Time Machine backup that is on it. My approach is...

1. Using two large HDs to create a single raid concatenated volume large enough to hold my entire Time Machine backup from the Drobo.

1. Using two large HDs to create a single raid concatenated volume large enough to hold my entire Time Machine backup from the Drobo.
2. Use Superduper to back up the entire Drobo to the concatenated volume.
3. Reformat the Drobo into 2 volumes.
4. Use Superduper to restore the original Time Machine backup from the concatenated volume to one of the new volumes on the Drobo.

Does this sound feasible? Any reason this might not work? Crazy?
